Body lice

Treat body lice (Pediculus humanus var. corporis) as for head lice—apply topical preparations to the entire body, and avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Parasites and eggs are found in clothing and bedclothes—these should either be discarded, washed on a hot cycle (60℃) followed by ironing (if possible)Better Health Channel, 2017Flinders, 2004, or sealed in plastic bags for 14 daysCenters for Disease Control and Prevention, 2019.
