Support for people with developmental disability and nutritional disorders
Funding is available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for people with developmental disability and nutritional disorders to optimise independence, mobility and behaviour, including access to:
- behaviour support clinicians
- dietitians
- meal-delivery services
- occupational therapists
- physiotherapists
- psychologists
- speech pathologists.
NDIS-registered providers offer accommodation, support and other services for people with developmental disability.
If the person is not eligible for NDIS funding, referrals can be made through the Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan to clinicians in the community, hospital or private practice (eg psychologists).
