Other investigations for antiphospholipid syndrome

Investigations (other than aPL-antibody assays) that are recommended for someone with clinically suspected antiphospholipid syndrome include:

• full blood count—to detect thrombocytopenia, anaemia, haemolytic anaemia
• coagulation studies.

Further investigations are guided by individual clinical features, and are usually requested by a specialist.
