Management overview for de Quervain tenosynovitis
Treatment options for de Quervain tenosynovitis include:
- local corticosteroid injection
- splinting
- simple analgesia and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in some cases.
Often these treatments are used in combination. For resistant cases, surgery may be considered. The choice of treatment(s) depends on individual factors, including the person’s preference, and whether they are pregnant or breastfeeding.
