Introduction to enteropathic arthritis

Enteropathic arthritis is an inflammatory arthropathy that occurs in up to 20% of people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), specifically Crohn disease and ulcerative colitis. Enteropathic arthritis is the most common extraintestinal feature of inflammatory bowel disease; people may develop axial or peripheral spondyloarthritis.

For general information on the spectrum of spondyloarthritis diseases, see Overview of spondyloarthritis.
