Clinical features of dermatomyositis
Dermatomyositis is a rare autoimmune condition characterised by proximal muscle myositis. People usually present with proximal weakness (eg hip and shoulder girdle, neck flexors) or the characteristic cutaneous features including Gottron papules and heliotrope rash, though weakness and cutaneous features may occur together.
