Potential effects of NSAID use on conception
Evidence suggests nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may reduce fertility in females and this association is supported by a plausible biological mechanismSalman, 2015. Therefore, guidelines recommend females planning conception should avoid NSAIDs (with the exception of low-dose aspirin) from the time of planned conception1. For discussion on risk of miscarriage, see Potential harms of NSAID use during pregnancy.
