Toxic dose
In children, single, accidental ingestions of superwarfarin agents are not associated with clinically important bleeding and require no investigation. Children are unlikely to ingest a toxic dose due to the taste.
In adults, single ingestions of less than 1 mg of superwarfarin agents are not associated with clinically important bleeding.
Single ingestions or recurrent ingestions exceeding 1 mg may cause anticoagulation, although severe anticoagulation usually only occurs with much larger doses. Individual response to superwarfarin ingestion varies greatly.
