Observation and patient disposition after Amanita phalloides mushroom poisoning
Admit patients with Amanita phalloides mushroom poisoning if they have gastrointestinal symptoms, dehydration, acute kidney injury or abnormal liver biochemistry.
Clinical toxicity manifests within 24 hours after ingestion of Amanita phalloides mushrooms. Patients who have not developed gastrointestinal symptoms and have normal liver biochemistry at 24 hours after ingestion are unlikely to develop acute liver injury and can be discharged.
