Management overview for mirtazapine poisoning

Mirtazapine is a central alpha2-adrenoceptor blocker that increases noradrenaline and serotonin release. It is relatively safe in poisoning; the most commonly reported effects are dose-dependent mild central nervous system (CNS) and cardiovascular symptoms. Mirtazapine does not cause serotonergic toxidrome in poisoning when taken alone or with other antidepressants.

Management of mirtazapine poisoning is supportive care.
