Treatment for hyperthermia

For hyperthermia (temperature more than 39ºC or rapidly rising) due to MAOI poisoning, urgently start rapid cooling techniques. Hyperthermic patients, despite having raised blood pressure and tachycardia, are usually volume depleted. The first-line treatment is cold intravenous fluid therapy.
