Observation and patient disposition after bupropion poisoning

Admit all symptomatic patients and those who have ingested more than 4.5 g of bupropion for continuous ECG monitoring, for at least 24 hours and until they are clinically well.

Discharge patients who have ingested less than 4.5 g of bupropion if they remain asymptomatic (not tachycardic or agitated) for at least 12 hours after ingestion.
