Tetanus-prone wounds

Tetanus vaccination is recommended as postexposure prophylaxis for a tetanus-prone wound. Tetanus-prone wounds are any wound other than a clean, minor cut in patients without recent vaccination. For more information, see the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
