Treatment of asymptomatic Chlamydia trachomatis infection
To treat asymptomatic chlamydial infection, useDukers-Muijrers, 2019Lau, 2021Peuchant, 2022Workowski, 2021:

OR for pregnant patients or patients likely to be nonadherent to doxycycline

Advise patients toOng, 2023:
- abstain from sexual contact for 7 days after treatment starts, or until treatment is completed and symptoms have resolved (if treating a syndrome or symptomatic infection), whichever occurs later
- notify partners from the last 6 months of the need to seek testing.
Perform a test of cure at least 4 weeks after treatment completion for patients who are pregnant, or those with an anorectal infection who were treated with azithromycinOng, 2023.
