Dual antiplatelet therapy for STEMI

Give all patients presenting with a STEMI immediate dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and a P2Y12 inhibitor (prasugrel, ticagrelor or clopidogrel). The aspirin should be started immediately; it will likely have been given at first medical contact (eg in the ambulance). The choice of P2Y12 inhibitor depends on the reperfusion therapy used.
