Aspirin use before and after endoscopic procedures

For all patients having an endoscopic procedure, aspirin may be continuedASGE Standards of Practice Committee, 2016.

There is no evidence that continuing aspirin in a patient undergoing a low- or high-thromboembolic risk procedure significantly increases the patients bleeding risk, nor that stopping these drugs up to 7 days before the procedure decreases the risk of bleeding.
