Treatment-naive adults who have cirrhosis

For treatment-naive adults with hepatitis C who have compensated cirrhosis , regardless of HCV genotype, use:

1 sofosbuvir+velpatasvir 400+100 mg tablets; 1 tablet orally, daily for 12 weeks hepatitis c (with cirrhosis) sofosbuvir + velpatasvir sofosbuvir+velpatasvir sofosbuvir+velpatasvir

OR

1 glecaprevir+pibrentasvir 100+40 mg tablets; 3 tablets orally, once daily for 8 weeks1. hepatitis c (with cirrhosis) glecaprevir + pibrentasvir glecaprevir+pibrentasvir glecaprevir+pibrentasvir

The above regimens are pangenotypic (effective for genotypes 1 to 6) and are considered equally effective.

Patients with portal hypertension or decompensated cirrhosis should be managed by a specialist; see patients with decompensated liver disease.

1 A treatment duration of 12 weeks may be considered for patients with compensated cirrhosis at the discretion of the prescriber.Return
