Management of peri-implant mucositis

Management of peri-implant mucositis includes:

• nonsurgical debridement of the implant
• providing advice on improving oral hygiene and smoking cessation
• encouraging regular dental review, including maintenance of the implant.

Antibiotic therapy is not required.
