Toxic dose

Antipsychotic drug poisoning can have significant effects in children and other people who are treatment-naive to antipsychotic drugs—sedation and hypotension can occur even at therapeutic doses.

Antipsychotic drug doses that have the potential to cause toxicity in drug-naive children are given in Potential toxic doses of some antipsychotic drugs in drug-naive children; drug-naive children who have taken a potentially toxic dose require medical assessment and observation in hospital.
