Management overview for amisulpride poisoning

Amisulpride is an antipsychotic drug that can cause QT-interval prolongation on electrocardiogram (ECG) and torsades de pointes at therapeutic doses and in poisoning. Patients who ingest 4 g or more of amisulpride, or have a prolonged QT interval have a greater risk of cardiotoxicity (hypotension, arrhythmias) that can be delayed. Amisulpride poisoning also has a dose-dependent risk of coma and death.

Management is supportive care, close monitoring for QT-interval prolongation, and treatment of contributory electrolyte abnormalities and arrhythmias if present.
