Treatment for hypomagnesaemia
If patients have hypomagnesaemia due to chronic accumulation of digoxin, replace magnesium aiming for the normal serum magnesium concentration. Use:
magnesium sulfate 50% 5 to 10 mL (10 to 20 mmol) (child: 0.1 mL/kg [0.2 mmol/kg]) intravenously, over 30 to 60 minutes. Repeat the dose until the serum magnesium concentration is in the normal range. chronic digoxin accumulation
