Treatment for cardiovascular collapse

Treatment for cardiovascular collapse (eg hypotension, cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, seizures) due to major box jellyfish envenoming is as for cardiovascular collapse due to other causes—follow advanced life support protocols for cardiorespiratory arrest1 and administer intravenous box jellyfish antivenom. In unresponsive cases, continue CPR and consult a clinical toxicologist about whether further intravenous antivenom is indicated.
