Management of strongyloidiasis in immunocompetent patients
To treat strongyloidiasis (Strongyloides stercoralis infection) in immunocompetent patients, use:
1ivermectin (adult and child 15 kg or more) 200 micrograms/kg orally with fatty food, as a single dose; repeat after 7 to 14 daysivermectinivermectinivermectin
OR
2albendazole orally with fatty food, 12-hourly for 3 days; repeat course after 7 to 14 daysalbendazolealbendazolealbendazole

child 6 months or older and 10 kg or more: 400 mg
child 6 months or older and less than 10 kg: 200 mg.
