Women who have sex with women
Data suggest women who have sex with women are at lower risk of HIV infection than men who have sex with men, transgender and gender diverse people, heterosexual people and people who inject drugs. However, do not assume an individual is at low risk of HIV infection without considering their sexual health and behaviours. Considering the HIV acquisition risks discussed above may be useful to guide discussion about a person’s sexual health and behaviour and to determine their suitability for PrEP.
