The following empirical regimens are included in this topic for endocarditis caused by viridans streptococci and S. bovis group with penicillin MIC greater than 0.125 mg/L and less than or equal to 0.5 mg/L:

• standard regimen for native valve endocarditis
• penicillin hypersensitivity regimens for native valve endocarditis
• standard regimen for prosthetic valve endocarditis
• penicillin hypersensitivity regimens for prosthetic valve endocarditis.
