Choice of regimen for directed therapy for meningitis
When the pathogen has been microbiologically confirmed and the results of susceptibility testing are available, choose the appropriate directed regimen; see:
- Neisseria meningitidis (meningococcal) meningitis
- Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcal) meningitis
- Haemophilus influenzae type b meningitis
- Listeria monocytogenes meningoencephalitis
- Streptococcus agalactiae (group B streptococcus) meningitis
- Streptococcus suis meningitis
- Enterobacterales meningitis
- Cryptococcal meningitis.
