High tech aided AAC

Electronic (‘high tech’) aided AAC includes mobile technologies (eg smartphones, tablet devices), speech software (eg on a laptop) and speech-generating devices. If a person has a communication aid at home, encourage them to bring it to the appointment to use in your consultation.

Several apps are available to turn mobile devices such as smartphones or tablet devices into electronic aided AAC systems.
